Newton's Law of Universal Gravitation:
All objects with mass attract each other with a gravitational force. The magnitude of the force is directly related to the product of the masses and inversely related to the square of the separation distance between their centers.

Many students become confused about the importance (or non-importance) of the radius of the attracting objects. But don't be fooled! The radius of a planet and the radius of the Sun are not important. All that matters is the amount of distance that separates their centers.
