The L•O•S•T Art of Image Description (Curved Mirrors) - Questions

The L•O•S•T Art of Image Description (Curved Mirrors)  Concept Builder is comprised of 10 questions. The questions are divided into 5 different Question Groups. There is only one difficulty level. The two questions in the same Question Group are rather similar to one another. The Concept Builder is coded to select at random a question from each group until a student is successful with that group of questions.

Learners do the same thing in each question; they make decisions regarding the characteristics of the images formed by concave and convex mirrors. Those decisions pertain to the general location of the image, the orientation of the image (upright or inverted), the relative size of the image (smaller, larger, or the same size as the object), and the type of image (virtual or real). The questions from each group are shown below. Teachers are encouraged to view the questions in order to judge whether the activity is appropriate for their classes.

The Physics Classroom grants teachers and other users the right to print these questions for private use. Users are also granted the right to copy the text and modify it for their own use.
