Up And Down Concept Builder
Up And Down is a Concept Builder that focuses on the topic of vertically-launched projectiles. The interest is understanding how the velocity and acceleration change (or don't change) over the course of the object's motion. Learners do three things in the Concept Builder. First, they compare the relative magnitude of the velocity (i.e., speed) and acceleration and the direction of the velocity and the acceleration at three locations in its trajectory or path. Second, learners must identify the proper vector diagram for the object at three locations in its trajectory or path. And finally, learners must identify the numerical value of the velocity and acceleration at 1-second intervals during the flight of the object; values are entered into a table. Question-specific help is provided for each question. Use of this Concept Builder with our Task Tracker system allows teachers to track student progress.
Users are encouraged to open the Concept Builder and begin. There is no need for an activity sheet for this Concept Builder. However, the eight different groups of questions can be viewed or printed. View
