Mission NL8 F=m*a Calculations - Question Group 4 Help

 The Question

Determine the mass (in kg) of an object which experiences an acceleration of 8.5 m/s/s when it encounters a net force of 362 N.

(Note: Numbers are randomized numbers and likely different from the numbers listed here.)

 Formula Fix
The relationship between net force (Fnet), mass (m) and acceleration (a) is expressed by the equation

Fnet = m•a
 Math Magic

The equation in the Formula Frenzy section is set up to solve for the acceleration of an object. It can be algebraically rearranged in order to solve for the mass. Multiply both sides of the equation by mass and then divide through each side of the equation by acceleration. There you have it.
